Challenge

Morrow Goods had a recognizable visual brand and loyal customers, yet AI shopping assistants struggled to distinguish its products from dozens of similar alternatives. Product attributes were inconsistently described, category relationships were unclear, and trusted third-party references did not reinforce the same story.

This meant the brand was often absent from research prompts where shoppers asked for specific materials, use cases, or product comparisons. The team needed a clearer machine-readable identity without flattening the personality that made the company distinctive.

Approach

We audited product entities, structured data, naming conventions, and the external sources that answer engines used to validate recommendations. A shared attribute system was created so every product page expressed materials, benefits, audiences, and differentiators in a consistent way.

We then rebuilt schema relationships across the organization, products, reviews, and editorial content. Supporting guides answered comparison questions with verifiable detail, while a focused digital PR plan earned relevant mentions from trusted category publications. Every change used the same language from site copy through external citations.

Results

Cited AI mentions increased 3.1 times and referral traffic from AI-assisted discovery grew by 54%. Morrow Goods began appearing for more precise shopping questions, particularly those involving product fit, materials, and alternatives, rather than relying only on branded demand.

The new entity framework also simplified launches. New products could inherit a consistent structure from day one, helping search and answer engines understand where each item belonged and why it was relevant to a particular customer need.

We stopped treating AI visibility as another content channel and started building the evidence that made our brand easier to trust.
